Outreach

Our group believes strongly in science engagement that encourages the public, especially our young generation, to think actively about our Earth, its wonder, and relevance in our everyday lives. We enjoy sharing our love of Earth sciences in many different settings, including parades, public exhibitions, with policymakers, laboratory tours, and media appearances.

Marched alongside Grand Marshall Seismologist Sue Hough, Celeste Labedz (in pic; now at U Chicago) and other fabulous female seismologists with a message "Drop, Cover and Hold On!".


2021 RAAF centenary flyover in Canberra
The seismometer near ANU picked up seismic signals from several Royal Australian Air Force aircrafts including the Roulettes, which is featured in Canberra Times.
